Sam, thanks for the links!  You have some really great adventures with your 801 don't you?  You've got it set up to travel as a functional/practical plane!

Fantastic, as I lived most of my life in Pleasant Valley , NY ,and flew down around Liberty many times in my

arrow, sometimes on moonlite night. Been in Jax , Fl for last 5 yrs, building 701, so this really got me wound up !

David, my last trip to Bangor, it was LOW IFR just about everywhere so i had to leave my 801 in NE PA near NYC. On the way back it was sever clear, so we took the doors off and flew the NYC East river corridor, across Central Park and from the Statue of Liberty up to the Hudson Palisades at 800 feet MSL. No doors made for great field of view and no window distortion. The only bad part was after giving my AC type as CH80 they kept mistaking me for a rotary AC instead of fixed wing. .

Beautiful picture David,  Not sure if i sent you the links to the flight I took the day we met. It popped up as this date one year ago (time flies). In case anyone else want to see the beautiful; area you live in here they are.

Sometimes you have to copy and paste these links into your browser to get them to work. When dropBox opens ignore the "create account?" and go straight to the web site.

  • These four links are to my Oct 2020 trip from SC to Maine INCLUDES FLIGHT DOWN THE HUDSON THROUGH NYC – be sure to have the sound on. There are 3 short videos: SC to New York,  New York and the Hudson corridor to Maine, A flight around Maine, then Return to SC. The last link is the trip log.  The trip was a landmark for me in that I finally took the time to land in several states that I had been flying over for years. Thus, finally logging a TO & L in each of the 50 US states. They are my first multi-media videos with a new software. I hope you like the music – video editing critics, be kind.

Definitely a beautiful time of the year, though I find that I am not that eager to "play" on the water as temperatures have started cooling off.

Gorgeous! I love flying in fall over the deciduous trees...

Beautiful! We don't have a lot of trees around here but the ones that we do, the leaves get blown off as soon as they start changing colours. Autumn here means dry brown...
