This is how I routed my BRS bridles. On top of the glare shield. One to the left, the other to the right.

Larry, I used the frangible plastic sheet that comes with the BRS.

I also ran an extrusion inside the lower "lip" of the instrument panel, across the entire width, and an extrusion on the inside of the firewall upon which the front of the "pan" (that supports the BRS) is riveted.

As a general guide, I used the European Zodiac BRS drawings, but I used a larger BRS (the 1350) and I attached the bridles at 4 places on the fuselage (not 3).

To counter balance the weight, I mounted the battery aft, behind the bottom access hatch.  I have not done a W&B yet.

Figuring out how to route the bridle lines was a challenge, with this being a metal plane.  The way I have it, it should take the canopy off if fired.  I don't know if everything will work or not.  Hope I (or a passenger) never has to find out.

Hi Patrick, I am also planning to install the BRS chute between the panel and the firewall. I am not nearly as far along as you on my 650B. Did you use the frangible plastic material on the top or a hinged cover as the Sport Cruiser did? Any issues with adding structure to support the pack or routing of the lines?

Best Regards,  Larry Zepp
