701 Firewall completed... most people build the rudder first, As a result of the engine type, I decided to build the firewall first. If you can build the firewall... you should have no problems building the rest of the 701

I really enjoyed seeing the photos of the construction of your Zeno.
I miss the joy that the victory of each new piece brings.
Flying in an airplane that you personally know every part is undoubtedly much more pleasurable!
Congratulations with your project is really good!

G'Day Dwayne

No not at all. I find that the 0.040, 0.050, 0.063 to be very easy to work with. I used o.090 for my brake pedals and that worked out fine also. I think the "L" angles are the hardest to bend along with the "Z" angles. You have to have your own technique and work at it. The vertical channel on the firewall took 2 trys... screwed uo the first, and learned a bit more on the second.
The bottom line is you cannot be afraid to screw up a part... because the second time around is always easier with the practise...

I have made all of the 0.040, 0.050, 0.063, 0.090, 0.125, 3/16 small parts. Also all of the oarts for the redesigned stabilizer and elevator, rudder, flaperons, control bellcranks except for the required spars needed. I also cut most of the 3/4 x 3/4 x 1/8 angles. I've also started building my redesigned fuel tanks... which will be riveted.
So to date I have only messed up a few parts, which I had to make over.
It seemed that after building the firewall... everything that I fabricated was a piece of cake, so scratch building does not scare me at all! The big thing is to have the right tools... if you cannot buy them, you make them!

Hey Ron
nice job on the firewall! Was it hard to bend the 0.050 and the 0.032?
