After completing my wings tanks and lights all checked. I still have the upper root end skins clecoed on. In an effort to paint the wings before installing I'd like to rivet the upper root skins on. Just curious if others found it better to wait to rivet those skins on after the wing install?
I riveted skins on, and without paint, installed the wings. Trimmed everything to fit. Made some cutout enlargements for attach bolts, trimmed skin to fit fuselage, and added a couple of access plates to make removal easier.
Then removed wing and painted. That way I wasn't trimming and messing up my paint job on final install and there were NO surprises to deal with.
Thanks Mark. Sounds like the way to go.
