When parked, with full fuel, my 701 tips on its tail at the slightest provocation (a sight tailwind when the stick is not tied back).

Deos anyone else have this problem?  Ideas. Solutions?

When traveling, I have to tie the nose down to a 5 gal collapsable water container.

What engine do you have installed?

914

Wow it sounds like the CG is too far aft. The CG on my 701 is near the aft with Rotax 912 and BRS parachute mounted in back of baggage compartment and full of fuel and the tail has to be pulled down with some force. I never have ever had it tip down in any type of wind.

Your C of G must be too far aft of the envelope. What engine ? What are your weight & balance numbers ...right main , left main, and nose wheel?

914

With full fuel

Right Main:346 Left Main: 349  Nose:147

CG 13.63

if your baggage area is empty your cg is more like 18.6"

CG of 13.65 is at empty weight.  Not at the full fuel weight given.

I think there is a right way to mount the MLG, makes a difference to the fwd / aft positioning of the main wheels

Specifically?
