I'm in the process of getting my 750 painted and after the doors were painted, we pulled the masking off the doors that had been there ever since Zenith had applied it at the factory. It was fun pulling the masking off and finally getting to see the perfectly clear bubble! HOWEVER, much to my surprise, around the periphery of the acrylic bubble window there is what appears to be some sort of black marker line - don't know if it is wax crayon or "magic marker" or something else. Apparently, they had outlined the acrylic with a template when making the door.

Has anyone else found this on their bubble doors? What can you safely use to remove the black line?

The only solvent I know of that will not attack plexiglas is naptha. You might try a little naptha on a clean soft cloth and see what happens. If you are lucky, it will cut whatever made the marks.

I contacted Caleb yesterday and he recommended 90% rubbing alcohol - I'll try that first.

John, I've been using the stuff that cleans headlights to clean: markers, gum, alodine, paint, It works great. I've been told when cleaning plexiglass, don't rub in circles, rub straight lines.

Start with mild stuff and work your way up. Dawn, Peroxide, lens cleaner. Anything past that, you might want to make some phone calls first. Hope this helps.
