I did find a 10 awg crimper but don’t know if the connectors that come with the kit are meant to go to 10 awg. They look almost maxed out with the 12 awg. Wait till I get them from Keith I guess.

Likely at an auto parts store as well. I had ordered a couple of the R/R connectors and pins packages to have on hand for when the time came to wire things up. I couldn't find the appropriate crimp tool for 10 ga wire and terminal so ended up soldering with the supplied terminals.
Hey Tom.

Hey Tom.

What diagram shows the RR leads as 10 awg? Rev 13 pf the manual still shows 12 awg to the battery but I plan on upsizing them to 10 anyway.

Finally got it off intact, gentle patient persuasion. Where did you source the 5/16 female connectors Dave? Not sure if these are standard so may have to ask Keith.

How the heck did you get the plug out of the R/R? I dare not try much harder for fear of breaking the housing. It will not budge.

Mine came with the prewire plug already in the regulator. That connector is really tight. I have been reluctant to pull it out but may give it a try tomorrow. Standard spade connectors I suppose?

Hi John, yes I did! I used the UL prewired connector and upsized the ground and output wires to 10 ga wire via soldering to terminals which I then inserted to the plastic connector. At the same time I also replaced the R/R and applied fresh heat paste on the backside. Over 50 hours on that mod and everything looks good so far.
