How much paint should it take to paint an XL?

Would Zinc oxide be a good primer or should a 2 part epoxy primer be used?

Jeff, my name is Chris Aysen and I just recently painted my 701. I achieved very good results with Poly Fiber's 420 2 part epoxy primer on the fuselage. I used a conversion coat called "Prekote" (from Aircraft Spruce) prior to shooting the primer. Follow the Prekote and primer instructions and I think you will be happy with the results. Additionally, pay close attention to induction times, temperature, and humidity. I know this may not help on your 601 but I used about 2 gallons of primer, 4 gallons of paint, and a about a gallon of Prekote.
