<p>You can get a fixed gear 650 to fly that fast, but it needs good power, many speed mods, or high fuel burn. I'd be curious what power setting was getting those speeds. The drag reduction from the retracts may be offset by weight gain.</p>

Actually, there's a part where he points to the indicator that says 220+/- kilometers per hour, and superimposed on the screen at the top says 124 knots. All while pointing at the vertical speed indicator indicating that he was flying level. So, I don't know how that compares to a regular fixed-wing version with that engine.
