Has anyone building from plans had a problem with the rivet layout and spacing where the doubler is on the spar. If so what was the correction you made. I've tried several times and it doesn't come out rite for me. Any help I can get, Thanks Dave Ruhe

Use a rivet fan and make sure the end holes are spaced from the edge correctly, If the fan won't reach both ends, put one more pilot hole in the middle. Always make sure the rivet spacing is either to the dimension or less. You may end up putting more rivets in but they will be equally spaced by using the rivet fan. Just pilot drill the end holes, silver cleco the rivet fan with the spacing, pilot drill right through the rivet fan. The fan I have is stainless steel and hasn't worn any in 5 years of use.
