I originally planned to just Scotchbrite and clearcoat the ceiling in the baggage area on my 750 build. I'm now thinking I would rather install a thin, light, foam-backed headliner both for appearance and a little more sound dampening.

I suppose there are two ways to do it ... either directly glue the headliner to the ceiling or glue the headliner to panels that are then attached to the ceiling. This latter method sounds the most appealing since the critical gluing of the fabric can be done on the bench and not working overhead inside the aircraft, plus, a panel can obscure protruding ceiling rivets.

Anybody got any tips for installing a headliner? What's the best material for a panel? Any recommendations on a good spray adhesive that won't turn loose in the heat?

Regards,

John

I used a spray adhesive made by Loctite (high strength) on the interior of my son's Cessna 182.  It sticks very well
