<p>EAA is THE most valid source involving matters relating to these types of aircraft. I have already included the link above which covers buying and selling kit planes including incomplete projects for everyone out there to read if they wish.</p>

<p>If you dont have a bill of sale from the original kit buyer then you have broken the chain the FAA requires for registration. And that is accurate. My source is been there done that and dealt with the FAA over the same scenario.Done.</p>

<p>Zenith will ONLY send the bill of sale(for the faa) with the original purchaser of the kits Name on it. Even if you have them transfer the kit to your name while building,they will NOT put your name in it. Just a heads up.</p>
