While this involves another vendor I hope this will be viewed appropriate to post here. Many seek info as to equipment or avionics to use for our builds. This Cruzer build I choose Dynon for my primary avionics. While several items have had to be returned for repair I thought I would share this last installment that I posted on Dynon’s site.

I just received a transponder back from service. This piece had been throwing an intermittent txpndr error message on the Skyview display for the the last year or so. Recently the error was becoming more frequent and then ATC finally reported losing my signal on the last flight. I requested an RMA from Dynon as I have in the past for other items to start the formal investigation. They in turn said it needed to be return it to the manufacturer for detailed eval. Even though out of warranty, the repairs were completed without charge.  I just completed a local flight and performed an FAA ADSB performance flight review which was flawless. Thank you again Dynon and staff.

I feel this is the same kind of great service that I have experienced with Zenith as well.

Thanks,

Gary

Absolutely appropriate, Gary! You'll always hear about negative experiences, but it is helpful to hear about the positive ones, too - I for one am willing to spend a few $ more with a vendor vs the competition if I know they have excellent customer service.

BTW, I've had the same good experience with Sandia, too.  They checked-out my 165R transponder when I thought I had a problem and it turned-out the transponder was OK, but while they had it they upgraded the firmware and then shipped it back to me at no charge even though it was out of warranty.
