Easy, quick, lightweight, cheap way to make sure you are building straight components with no twist

I bought 3 pieces of 8 ft long vinyl fence post from Home Depot. Cut one in half and lay the two piece perpendicular to the two longest pieces which are laying across three $15 sawhorses from Home Depot. Perfect! Straight, cheap, easy to set up and tear down. Built perfect horizontal stabilizer and tail. Starting elevator and wings. They are about 6-8 inches thick

Easy to add a piece of plywood underneath or over posts so you can still have a place to sit things.

This might be a cheap way to make a work table but-  it sounds like you are using plastic saw horses -  I had them for supports under my fuselage-  a few days later rechecked and wondered why the fuselage was still not level-  the sawhorse legs will spread from the weight and change everything.  I then purchased steel saw horses with my steel tubing supports.

You get what you pay for.

Ah. True. I used wood sawhorses that have already supported the weight of the shipping box for the wings. So, if they were going to settle they would have done it by now. I don't want to jeapordize the overall stability but given the weight of everything up to the wing, the beams have been fine.
