Somehow I cut the four little notches on the MLG struts about 100 mm too close together.  We just discovered it today when we tried istalling the struts to the studs.  Don't tell me no-one has ever done this before, but we did measure at least five or six times and everything looked correct.

I plan to cut four new notches where they should be, file smooth and proceed installing.  Any comments?

Not to worry. I did the same thing on the 801, called Zenith and they said not too worry. Filled the bad notch with bondo and moved on.

Thanks for the encouragement, Dan.  Well, I made the new notches and filed and sanded them nicely and it still looks very stout.  Today I installed the axles, brakes, and wheels and tomorrow we'll get the 701 off the workbench and on its own legs.

Pressing on.... Loren
