I am seriously considering putting N107R on amphibious floats. I live in Florida and have many, many lakes and rivers. Good idea or not? Why?

A low wing on Amphib floats is the second sexiest thing I'v ever seen. (wife looking over my shoulder) The low centre of gravity, fuel load in the wings all makes it a very good handling aircraft for crosswinds and rough water. The wings are close to the water surface so you get extra lift from "water effect" The Schnieder Cup float plane race was won by a Zenair CH601 on amphib. floats. Beaching or ramp taxiing is simple enough "BUT" stay away from docks...wings get bent ! Think of it as an excecutive personal water craft.
