Online Community of Zenith Builders and Flyers
Just received my Cruzer kit yesterday. Are there supposed to be assembly manuals included with the kit or I am supposed to look at the online ones on this site? Seems like the ones on this site are outdated. I am a a bit confused?? A little more direction for Zenith would have been helpful
The Assembly Guides are available on the Zenith website in the Resources section (call Zenith for the password). There are some that are Cruzer specific and others that are for both Cruzer and STOL. (And yes, they are a bit dated. Zenith has made a few improvements since they were posted to the web site.)
However, despite the availability (or non-availability) of Assembly Guides or 3rd party guides (Homebuilt Help, etc), your PRIMARY instructions are the PLANS.
The main assistance you will get from any assembly guide, no matter who produced it, will be suggested Order of Assembly of the parts or advice on tricky assembly items that may need special technique or tool.
Most of all, remember that this is a Learning Experience and to have FUN.
I strongly recommend the Homebuilt Help videos from John Croke. I would always watch the video while making notes on the assembly guide the night before I hit the shop. Saves a ton of time and money.
