I just want to make sure I understand this clearly before I start riveting stuff I shouldn't....

I've read on here about folks griping about no access to install the seat rails and the seat pan for the sliding seat option. Sliced hands, 1/8" turn of wrenches at a time, etc.

Yet, when I look at my plans, I don't see whatzup. Of course, I'll also note that I have a November 2017 kit, and the SSO plan sheets have a 2016 date.

From what I see, the seat adjusters are held to the seat base from the top using AN5 bolts, so there's no nuts under the base.

Next, the seat pans are held to the adjusters by more AN5 bolts, again, no nuts underneath; the nuts are welded into the adjusters themselves.

Is this the new and improved version, or if there's still frustration, what am I missing?

Our adjustable seats are as you described.

That must be an improvement because my adjusters required a bolt with a nut underneath which didn't seem do-able so I riveted nut plates under the sliding rail.

That’s what I kept hearing. When I opened the adjusters yesterday, there were nut plates for the seat base and welded nuts on the slides for seat attachment.  I thought I was overlooking something which is why I asked.

Guess I lucked out!
