I purchased this kit from the second owner who did not perform any work.  The original owner had someone install the B mod and that was the only work accomplished.  How can I verify that the B mod is installed if all I have is someone else's word.

I have purchased two XL 601 and one was completed the other one I will do most of the work to complete.. Both were supposed to have the B mods done. I went on YouTube and watched the Zenith series on the B mods done by Rodger at the Zenith Factory .I watched them several times. once I was reasonably sure the mods had been done on the planes I was interested in  I purchased the planes. I got the drawings from Zenith and went over all  the modifications  drawing at a time. The skins were off the first plane so it was fairly easy to tell. Rivet lines, there are several more with the mods and are east to spot once you have formularized your self with the drawings. It will take some time and effort on your part to check out the spars in the wings and center sections, but once you know what your looking for the mods are pretty obvious to spot. The second flying 601 I bought was thoroughly inspected by the A&P for all the mods during my conditional inspection. One thing to check for, does this plane have an N number yet? If so you cant be the manufacture and won't be able to do you own inspections, something to think about.   Good luck

Thanks Gil!  I am pretty sure the mod is legit but want to verify with my own eyes.   I was told by the seller that the mod was installed by someone that was on the 7 day build team.  I will take your suggestions to heart and begin verification.  I looked at the build video this morning and saw how much work was involved so I want to make sure I understand why each change was made.
