I'm ready to figure out hos to hook up the flexible ducting of my carb & cabin heat. I have n 0-235 engine installed on an XL 601, Does anyone have any photos they could send or post of their routing of the tubing?

Thanks

I have an O-235 in my 601 but my exhaust is completely different than yours. Mine has a two into one with the carb heat shroud on one side and the cabin heat shroud on the other.

I've attached some pics anyway. Sometimes just seeing how someone else has done something can help - sometimes how not to do it!

Another thought - I found (and still do) the Vans RV web site is a great source for info. on installing a Lycoming engine. A huge portion of the 10,000 flying have Lycoming engines and a large part of the install is relevant to our planes.

You don't have to be a kit owner to sign up. You just have to answer a simple RV question to which you can get the answer from an internet search easily. I don't announce that I' not an RV owner and posted many questions there during my install.  There are tons of photos there for every part of the engine install.

Also, they are a good source for instruments and other parts. In may cases they are cheaper than Aircraft Spruce.

Gary, where did you get your exhaust from?

Custom Aircraft Parts.

Clinton was great to deal with. They made it the way I wanted it and delivered when the said they would. I have a cross-over design and it fit my engine like a glove.

I have 150 hours on my plane now and just pulled the cowl for an oil change today. Took a close look at the exhaust system and it all looks perfect.
