What is the basic fuel system set up for the fuel injection for a low wing 601/650?  It appears the best location for the fuel pumps is on the firewall.  Does the UL fuel system require a fuel return line?  If so, how are you guys routing and installing a return fuel line?   I don't think the 601/650 has room for a header tank.

Depends on what fuel pumps you are using, I have a dual / series fuel pump from Andair that is fitted on cockpit floor, I also have the Andair fuel selector which returns the surplus fuel to the tank it came from. You will 100% need a return line, how you route that is personal choice, I have hard lines coming from the wing tanks and then braided lines into selector and through pumps to firewall.
