Started the 100 hr mx  service today on my UL350iS. For me, this includes doing the latest Service Bulletin 2019-02: integrated by-pass solution.  The kit costs approx $100 and includes a new fuel injector block with a machined bleed to the fuel return ("the by-pass").  I elected to throw on a new fuel pressure regulator and inlet air hose from the manifold to the regulator as well when doing the job.

Went flying for about 30 minutes to heat up the oil before the change and subsequently grabbed an oil sample to send out to Blackstone for analysis.

Started on the SB and after removing the original fuel injector block I noticed that a retaining clip was missing which holds the pressure regulator in place on the block.  I was a bit perplexed and surprised.

The parts catalog shows that there should be a retaining clip in place (part # F1600036) and Ray Lawrence states the same.  So, tomorrow the search will be on locally.

Also, for the last 10 hrs on the engine I've been monitoring the temp under the cowl on my battery box which holds two EarthX ETX680 Lithium batteries.  Short term environmental temp is allowed up to 85C and the upper allowable operating temp 60C .  The heat strip indicator is pictured and show that my under the cowl temps on the battery box do not exceed 60C. on the battery box closest to the engine.

Tappet valve checks remain as well as torque checks of the cylinder head bolts.

David, you mentioned in your 100 hr service that you did the latest service bulletin and the kit cost was around $100.  Were you able to by a "kit" with all the parts needed or did you just order all the parts from Wicks based on the parts list on the service bulletin?  If you bought a "kit", who did you purchase it from?  Thanks.

Larry, PM sent.
