The installation manual (with the Jabiru USA logo on the opening page) shows a "washer - engine mount spacer" on page 12/

However, I can't locate a reference in the text that says where this part goes.

The schematics do not show this part.

The "homebuilthep" video also has no reference to it.

According to some pictures I have seen, it looks like the "spacer" goes between the "engine mount washer" and the rubber cushion...

Is this correct? Which way does the rounded edge face?

As I recall, there were about 4 of those spacers included with my FWF kit and I had the same question.  Pete Krotje at Jabiru USA said those were to be used if they were needed to correct a sag or if the engine's mounting angle wasn't quite right. They can also be used to slightly move the engine forward a fraction of an inch.  I don't think I used any of them, so didn't have to decide which way the rounded edge went!

6+ years and 560+ hours and the engine has not sagged in the mounts one bit!  ;>)
