Hi Bill, good to hear from you! The belt lengths are not critical as all the belts are adjustable with plenty of excess belt. (I used a Harbor Freight "hot knife" to cut my belts to final length - it cuts and seals the cut so the material doesn't unravel.) I'm pretty sure that Crow has sold enough belts for 750's that they'll know what to send you. I would definitely recommend you call and talk to them to order rather than try to order online. FWIW, my Crow Invoice # was 107587 - (2) Item Code 40004 - RV 6, 7, 9 5-way 2" Cam Lock Restraint Y-Type Harness and (2) Item Code BB - Black Hardware.
thanks for the feedback. Not considering a Lycoming, was looking at the UL Power 390 at 160hp and 220lbs, the Viking 150 at 235lbs or the Edge Performance 912 at 178lbs.
Your 750 is 775lbs, that’s impressive, is it painted?
I finished a Kitfox last year for my son with a 912 ULS and it weighed in at 840lbs (big tires & too much paint)
I’m on the heavy side and need/want a bit more than the 912 ULS though I’m not sure I want to pay nearly 40k (at current EU/US exchange) for the Edge Turbo.
Hi Bill; I purchased the 750 from Matt Arns there on your field. I haven't been in touch with him in several years now and I hope he is doing well. Maybe we can plan a South Carolina Breakfast Club meet up?
No joy. One thing or another, plus my wife had to have hip replacement surgery, no local hangar space, et c. Now I'm doing a lot of upgrades, have added a cabin heat muff, removed the Aero-Injector and am about to install a Marvel MA3A carb, which means a carb heat muff and more control cables. I'll be going to Tennessee with the plane to do final assembly and fly off the hours under the guidance of Buzz Devoll when I am done. I am thinking about ADSB, too. Stay tuned.
I'm in Laurens & work full time in Simpsonville, 25 miles up the road. Not a whole heap of time for building, but I'm plugging along. I'll install a Corvair engine when I get that far. Still looking for a good one to convert. Any ideas?
As they say, "Where you stays at?" Would like to see your plane.
Hi Bill.... I'm scratch building a CH750 & using a 912uls as you have done.... I like the naca ducts you've installed on each side of your cowling.... did you make them or purchase them from someone?..... any info is appreciated. Thank you. Guy Bishoff.
Looking at your photos, I see you have two fittings on your oil tank. One connects the out fitting on the oil tank and is a 90% angle, the other is the fitting attaching the oil line from the radiator to this fitting. Do you remember where you purchased them and, if available, the part numbers? I am finishing up my engine install (rotax) and can't locate any fittings to attach the oil line to the tank. Thanks
Appreciate you help. I like your idea, its like adding rebar to concrete. Can't help but think this fix will eliminate any flexing in the door. Yes, I plan on adding a bracket on the gas strut attachment. I now feel any concern I had on the doors flexing and opening in flight is eliminated. Thanks
Thanks Bill. Not many people have MGL as their EFIS and I was curious to see how you liked it.
I'm really tempted by the odyssey because of the flexibility of programming different options.
On one of the support site...someone said the graphics were not good at all but I was kinda wondering if their Gen 2 was better and it seems like it is. that's great.
Do you actually use the V10 integrated to the odyssey for changing frequencies?
