Flaparon endcap fit issue.

I'm having trouble getting the end cap to fit flush with the leading edge. There is a large gap and pushing harder doesn't help.

Any tricks getting a good fit?

Jeff,

Cut a V-notch in the inboard side of the leading edge of the tip. This will allow you to insert the tip at a slight angle (forward end angled-outboard) and the notched-out area will allow the tip to slide forward and close the gap. Trim the notch a little at a time 'til you get a good fit.  Yes, the tip will be slightly angled but it will look fine (I think it looks better than being perfectly squared-off, anyway!).  Wish I had a picture to explain it, but hopefully the above description allows you to visualize it!
