I have a 701 with the tri-gear amphibious floats. If I upgrade to the 750, will these floats adapt to the 750 airframe ?

Of course all things are adaptable , but if they are the 13'-2" floats they may be a little under floated, I like the flat spring mount you have , it is more into ground effect and gets off shorter then the Newer style gear leg mounts, if the floats you have are 15'-5' long then you have the 1150 amphibs.or if you seal off the wheel holes and remove the gear you would end up with about 1250- 1300 floation per float , which would work well up to about 1500 gross, it appears to me that you are set at 6.5-7.0 incidence , I have the custom spacers left over from my first 701 which reduces the angle to apx.3.5 degrees if you would like , it makes the 701 faster but still gets off very short as in my float video, good luck with your project ...BOB

Hi Bob,

I have a CH 701 and 1150 amphibious  floats ready to install. I just need to come up with a starting point

My fire wall forward is 230 lbs. I have the drawings  Fl-113and 7-G-3. Would you have a filled out W/B sheet or photos of attach points and aft CG from spar attached  point.

Hey Buzz, very pretty! Do you have the owners manual or installation manual? Or does anyone out there have manuals or know where to get one?  I have the same floats but can't find a manual.

Thanks, Terry

Sorry Terry - all the logs, manuals, etc went with the plane

Hi Buz

I am planning to add the 3 wheel floats like yours to my 701.

Can you give me the total height at the rudder top with your floats on pavement?

Thanks Much!
