That is a great setup you have living next to an airfield. I live 8 minutes away from my hangar and the airfield.
Hello Joe, I just joined the site. Completing a 701 for use in Ghana, West Africa where I've been for the last four years. You are my first "friend" on the site. Notice you are from Kingsport, TN. Lived in Manchester, TN for several years after the Air Force in the mid seventies. I'm from Staunton, VA just a short drive from you up I-81. I hope to be able to ship the 701 by mid-November. The heavy aileron in high winds is an interesting observation. I've been in 30MPH headwinds, but have not noticed the controls being heavy.
