Way to go Scott, it's not easy to win one award not alone two. If and when I wind up in Texas again I will make it a point to land on your strip and look at these butifull birds.

Scott---We talked a while back about your ti firewall. I don't know if you've seen this on ebay, I ordered one. http://www.ebay.com/itm/TITANIUM-SHEET-ALC-AMS-4901-016-/120730460470?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item1c1c18a136 With your setup and the price on these you could make a little on firewalls for planes. They're accepting offers and if you bought the lot you could probably get them for about a quarter of their worth. Plus, they're in fort worth.--ben

Scott, the price is $23,500 and that includes engine mount, cowling and a bunch of other firewall forward stuff, some of it quite valuable. Reason for sale: sold my airframe.

Scott, have the main gear off, was planning to drive thursday night to East Texas and possibly come by your shop on Friday 1/21 for main gear adjustment. Does that work for you ? My camp is at Woodville.

hello scott, thank you for answering my email. i am very interested in possibly getting some prints of the driveshaft setup , so i might be able to have one made here. i also noticed that you changed drive setups with the new turbine engine , i believe that to be a newer jfs 100 , if i am successful in getting this engine running , i would like to put it in a 750 zodiac. john kreeger.               kreeger.bill@yahoo.com

The 701 is in my opinion one of the best airplanes in the world at doing the job it was designed for.It is designed for the masses and is safe in almost anyone's hands. My intentions for this project was not to improve or redesign this wonderful airplane. I have a fabrication company and have all kinds of wonderful equipment and the skill to use it. I have long had a fascination with the 701 and wanted to find out what it might be like if it were built in a mil-spec manner with a turbine power plant. I have no intention of producing any more 701. My next project is a flying boat like you have not yet seen. We will be flight testing this 701 this spring and hope to take the other 2 on amphib floats to Oshkosh in 2011 It looks like we will be right at 600lbs

I think you might be referring ti the 4 tabs on top of the chromoly frame. If so those are for a lifting frame attachment so we can lift it to put on the floats and we have an electric winch system to raise it to the top of the hanger to save space

Hi Scott - love the turbine install!!! Makes it look like a Pilatus!!!

Quick question... you have mounted the wing root skins differently... why? What do you have in store for this area?

Wonderful work - and it has really inspired our workshop girls - thanks for the pics!
