Thanks for the note I am a permanent resident on Lake Vermilion, equidistant between Duluth and I Falls. I am building a CruZer from a kit... we have essentially finished the cabin and fuselage, and have the main gear on...likely start the wings next week....about 550 hrs into her to date...plan on tundra tires and skis in winter and 1450 Zenair amphib floats in summer.
Hi Martin,
Anytime you are going to be in Rochester give a call, (507) 289-0051, if I am home I would be glad to have stop by.
I am in Duluth now and will be heading for Lutsen tomorrow. I should be back in Rochester in 3 or 4 weeks.

We had a great time in Reno. Watched our hometown racer, Curt Brown, win every race again this year.
Had a chance to see and talk to a 750 builder at OEO. Group of a few guys that plan on building and selling planes until they have paid for one each to keep. Was just a few weeks from flying. Had the Jab 3300 in it. Looked like nice work. He was saying that insurance for one on floats would be $8000/yr. That sure got my wife's attention!! I'm not sure if that is true or not. Will need to check with Avemco.
I'm building to the rev 2 specs as well. They were nice enough to delay my fuselage order just long enough to get the rev 2 plans and parts. I have already found a few errors in the plans and will share them with you when you get your plans. I'm planning on building the floats as well so welcome the extra gross weight but will likely register my plane as an LSA @ 1320 when on the standard gear. I'll be at the Reno air races when the open house is going on. Maybe next time...
Welcome from just up the river from you in Hudson, WI. I'm building from a kit and have all of the tail feathers done and just started on the rear fuselage.
