Hi,

My 701 building activity has been dead in the water since December 2009. I want to sell the parts, and the completed sections. Since this site is oriented to folks who are already building, my guess is this ain't the best place to sell the stuff. Does anyone have suggestions, experience with sites like Trade-A-Plane, Aero Trader, ASO, etc?

Thanks for your help.

Thank you. That helps.

I answered this question from Michael Gross, "what parts are you selling and what price?  Scratch built I am assuming?"

as follows:

"No - it's kit parts. I have completed the rudder, horizontal stab and elevators, w/trim tab, and I have one wing skeleton laid out on my bench. Structural parts for the other wing are under the bench, and the skins are still in the shipping crate. I also have the materials for the flaperons, slats, composite wing tips, fuel tanks.

Whatever the factory price is for all of this, plus the drawings (and I guess I sell the serial number also, right?), I'll let go at 50%. Some very airplane-specific tools (like the pneumatic rivet puller) can also go with the parts."

I might be in PA this weekend...send me an email at gross_michael@Hotmail.com  I would be available Monday 12 May to take a look at your project if it is still for sale.

Why selling? I'd like to build one..

Let's just say that I extrapolated my completion date based on past progress, and it exceeded my statistical life expectancy.

Building IS a learning experience, and I learned that I am not the kind of builder that building a plane needs. I would love to HAVE a 701, though. And this is nothing against the drawings, the kit, the assembly book, or the factory - it's just me, and my recognizing my native inclinations.

I haven't worked on planes since the 80's. Wonder if I still can!!

Are you interested in selling just part of what you have or does it need to be everything. Also where are you located.

I am near Philadelphia PA.

I guess the answer depends on what you are looking for. Group 1: the rudder and tail feathers are completed and stored in my garage attic, and out of the way. Group 2: the parts for the wings and flaperons and slats are mostly untouched, except for the spar and ribs for the right wing. I also have the fuel tanks, wing tips, and lights that I would have built in with the wing.

I would not want to part it out any finer than that.
