It sure is nice to have real heat in the cabin, it is running just fine.

Still have to use engine heater in this cold weather, but nothing new there.

Were you happy with the service from Viking?

Was the installation difficult?

Installation was a snap and service has been very good

This is my second engine from them..

What happened to the first engine?

Hello Dan.  I'm happy that you're happy.  Hehe.  I'd like to be too but I hear conflicting testimony regarding weight.  Since, as far as I can tell, you may be the most experienced 701/viking guy out there; how about it.  What is your empty weight?  Everything looks good to me about this engine but I just don't want to lose more useful load than necessary.

Thanks

Dan

I've got a 2013 Viking ready to install in the 601 XL I'm building.  I should be bolting it up in the next month. I could not be happier with the service and support I received from Viking. The engine and FWF package was delivered exactly when promised and the engine its self is a work of art. The engine package and welding on the mounts is all first rate. I think Viking is doing everything they can do to correct and avoid the previous business mistakes. I have not flown the engine yet, but so far it's been pretty much a perfect buying experience.

Thanks Brad.

What were the "previous business mistakes?"

Jan' s previous business was building Subaru engines for aircraft.  I guess there were some issues where he pissed some people off with product and deposits. Viking is a new business, and from everything I've  seen it is being run extremely well and competently.
