I'm trying to find a good headset at a reasonable price with smooth styling that won't scratch my ch650 bubble on my 601xl with Jab 3300. After much searching, I think I have narrowed it down to the Denali passive or the Sennheiser HME 95 passive headsets. Does anybody have any comments on these units for or against or which headset do you use and are you happy with it?

Regards
Phill Barnes

Asking about headsets isn't quite as bad as asking about high-wing/low-wing or tail dragger/nose dragger :-)

I use Clarity Aloft which I just love it. It's an "ear bud" model - nothing over the head and zero "clamping pressure". It does have a small band behind the head to hold the mic. The Halo is similar and cheaper, but I've never tried it.

I've tried the Bose X, and to my hears, the Clarity Aloft, which is passive, is quieter. And it's so comfortable I literally forget I have it on. I fly behind a Rotax.

We have 2 pairs of the Flightcom Denali ANR headsets, and one of the Denali Passive headsets. I would recommend to anybody the ANR models from any manufacturer as opposed to the passive models. The Denali headsets are of good quality for their cost, and reasonably comfortable for long-term use. We have flown for 10 hour days without discomfort. And the ANR function really is worth the money. I would buy the Denali ANR's again if I needed another headset. I have even used them when mowing the grass to cancel the tractor noise. Now, if I can just figure out how to hook up a CD player to them while I am mowing.

Bose X, or clarity Alofts are great.
