What model code should I fill in on the Foreflight Aircraft screen for the Zodiac XLB, CH 601 XLB? None of those work. Any help here?

You have your choice of the standard medium-slow experimental code HXB, or because there have been factory built aircraft, the CH60 ICAO code exists for any Chris Heinz 600-series.  This is the same thing you tell the radar controller when he asks for your aircraft type.

This is a similar choice available for experimental Cubs, for example. They could use HXA but usually use PA11.

You can check the ICAO Search Page for other models.

Thanks Andy, that's just what I needed.

Thanks Andy, I appreciate your sharing this .. I got asked for my aircraft type by the Indy approach controller the other day when requesting flight following and I'm sure my response was less then helpful. I'll use the "CH60" going forward. Thanks,

Dave
