Well, I thought things were going too smoothly.  Two days ago I received the anxiously awaited prop spacer and when fitting to the prop flange, it would not allow all the bolts to thread easily into the flange.  A few of the bolts treaded easily through the spacer into the flange.  The next bolt started to bind after a few turns were made.  The bolts and spacer were removed and the flange was gaged.  Sure enough, there was a spot where the flange was bent 15 thousandths.  Not knowing wether or not the crank shaft was bent or possibly cracked, I had no choice but to have it checked.  Since the C90 engine has 1400 hours, I decided to have a major overhaul done.  So, I’m guessing at least a 2 or three month delay in finishing my CH750.  There is still plenty to do and all should be finished by the time the engine returns.  Hopefully June will be the “magic month” !

Thanks for the encouragement, Wayne.  Your advice is on target.  I think all I still need to do will occupy most of the time til the overhaul is complete.

Better to find out problem now than later, anyway lots to do and the time will fly by sooner than you think. Keep up the good work and don't rush it.

Install and rig flapeirons, set stops, install seats (upholstery is enroute from Zenith), determine unusable fuel, calibrate Belite fuel indicators, add two more access panels to top of wings, W&B, and run engine.

Sorry to hear this.  What more to do before flight?
