Clint, I'm started this project with the thought of using a Corvair but if I hit the lottery who knows.  Additionally I'm liking the looks of the Honda enginge from Viking.  I know many mixed reviews with the principles but the powerplant sure looks promising.  Cost (for me) is a major concern with other options.

Tim,  what engines are you considering? I have an o290 in need of rebuild, the weight is a concern.... An o200 would be my preference but they sure cost $$$... I may have caught the corvair bug, finally bought a conversion manual from WW at the open hangar event. Seems to be a good value, and I like most of what I see in his manual, the stuff I'm unsure of I just don't know enough about to make a good choice yet (distributor ignition, detonation concerns).  I talked with a few builders who fly a corvair, they were very happy. Just thought I'd get your thoughts.  Thanks!

I bought a few more at Oshkosh this year, glad I did.  I should have just enough of each color now. Not sure what to do with all these after the build..... Guess I'll have to build a 650 too :)

Lookin really good Clint.  I bought an additional 100 each of silver and copper with my materials order as I was even juggling to have enough with the wings.
