Sounds like an interesting project. I bought my 701 completed. I have lots of mechanical experience on heavy equipment but the work I have done on my plane requires a lot of patience, like being a finishing carpenter. I am not sure I would enjoy building my own plane. I think flying is way more fun than fixing them!  Good luck with your building and I hope you get into the air soon!

Cheers Frank

Frank, thanks for your reply. When the opportunity came up to purchase a nearly completed 750, I couldn't pass it up. I spent years building my hangar and it physically beat me up (climbing up and down scaffold consistently). I was 'on the bench' wondering if I wanted to spend many more years building a kit or just purchase a 750 complete. This opportunity gave me a nice compromise. Well, I have a some daylight left here in California....back to installing the transponder.

Best, Dave
