I decide to paint my airplane. The first results are positive. I like my color choice. C2F8E3D1-3371-441A-8A96-CC0659EFEC1A.jpeg044A132F-BA04-4FCE-B6F7-CE1C82B5EDBB.jpeg8EDC92A6-6173-4DFD-9C11-448B2A5D513C.jpeg

Boy I understand the research part.  I'm still researching and studying and more researching before I decide what I want to build.

Was the primer you used on the exterior an automotive-type primer?

Randy, I didn't have any problems painting with spray can except some of the surfaces are duller than other. If I was going to do it again I would have the correct primer on hand, go through the per-coat process, and at least primer with spray gun. The reason is; the paint I used from rattle can, even though it was self etching, I can rub it off with Lacquer Thinner. The primer (polyurethane enamel) I used on the outside of my plane I can't get it off no matter what I use, I can't hardly scratch it. I just wasn't ready to research pain when i was doing the inside, even a friend told me don't do it.

Randy - did you have any problems painting with a rattle can (e.g. runs, bubbles, orange peel)?  It looks really good in the pictures.

Did you use paint in a spray can? Looks great!
