A few outtakes of the two Zenith STOL airplanes from the STOL Competition at the Sun 'n Fun Holiday Flying Festival in Lakeland, Florida on December 5, 2020.
First is Jon Humberd in his "Super701" Zenith STOL CH 701 with the 130-hp UL Power engine, followed by Jan Eggenfellner in the bigger and heavier STOL CH 750 Super Duty with a Viking 195 Turbo engine (from a new Honda Accord).
Overall conditions weren't great (with no headwind and some crosswind), but the Zeniths performed well in the competition: These were "stock" airplanes built from Zenith kits (in standard tricycle gear configuration) with relatively low power (compared to the much more expensive purpose-built competition airplanes).
