Had fun flying and making this video. Thanks to Cliff Weaver for flying the chase plane during the flight.

Congratulations! You will never forget the first flight even if you didn’t have it on video. The chase plane shots are very cool.

You had a visible exhaust at 3:45. I haven’t noticed that before on the Jabirus. Might be running a little rich? Might just be the head on view?

Thanks, now I’ve got Kenny Loggins stuck in my head. :)

I have had that happen to me, but in this case it was just a low battery with a cold engine.  I ended up removing the cowling, jumping the battery and ground running to charge and warm the engine.  Now, when it is cold out, I preheat the engine and the Jabiru fires right up and purrrrrs...

Nice.  Good job.  I liked the 2:38 cut too.  Can I guess fuel selector off?  That jab will run a while with that fuel in the bowl.  Ask me how I know.  Done that at least twice now. My rule of thumb is, even if my engine and CHT, oil and all else is fine warm, I won't take off unless the engine has been running long enough that it would be impossible to only be running off fuel in the bowl >3 minutes to be on the safe side.  Not a worry for me since my run up and check lists take while.
