Zenith demo pilot Roger takes Dr. Easir Papon, instructor of Aerospace Engineering and Mechanics at the University of Alabama, flying in the STOL CH 750 light sport utility kit airplane. Easir Papon (Ph.D., Aerospace Engineering and Mechanics) participated at the most recent Zenith workshop class, where he gained hands-on experience in building his own rudder tail section of the Zenith STOL aircraft. Dr. Easir Papon will be taking delivery of a tail kit shortly that he plans to introduce to his Aerospace Engineering and Mechanics students at the University of Alabama, teaching them about simple all-metal light aircraft structures and assemblies.
Zenith's factory workshops are popular with sport aviation enthusiasts, giving them the opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience in building their own kit airplane. Participants start assembling kit parts under the direction and guidance of factory professionals, and "graduate" from the workshop class upon completing construction of their own aircraft rudder tail section for one of Zenith Aircraft Company's popular kit aircraft designs, including the high-wing Zenith CH 750 series or the sleek low-wing Zenith CH 650 cruiser. The two-day workshop makes an excellent getaway trip to the Zenith kit aircraft factory in Mexico, Missouri. Spend a couple of days at the Zenith Aircraft factory and meet with fellow aviation enthusiasts - all while gaining valuable building skills and tips. And best of all, a Zenith demo flight is part of the factory workshop experience!
