Wow, I have to say I was amazed to see your video. First let me say you did a great job of landing it dead stick and was perfectly on the center line. I can tell you are a good stick. But the reason I am amazed is because you would post a stunt like that which clearly shows you are violating FAR 91.13. It is one thing to do it and a completely other thing to show the world you did something which can be unsafe. When I saw how populated it was around there, I was even more concerned. It is stunts like this that end up getting a less experienced pilot killed or at the very least a damaged plane.

There is a big difference between being a good stick and being a good pilot.

that has got to be hard to share a runway with cows, the worse thing i have to deal with in deer.

Nice one Ronald.  You guys don't know how lucky you are with runways like that.  My home strip is undulating grass ......shared with cows !!!   ;-))

yes i have. 120 mph in a steep dive and you better have some altitude to try it.

thanks Ron

Nice! Good practice. Have you determined the airspeed needed to restart and windmill the prop to attempt an engine restart?

i will tell you this, if you fly long enough, you will have to do a dead stick landing at some time, it is not if it will happen but when it will happen and you need to be ready. in my life i was forced to do 4 for real dead stick landings after an engine out. two in a farmers field. one on a dirt road and one in a big back yard. but because i practice them it was no problem for me to do it. and in every case i was able to fix the problem and take off again.

you just need to manage your air speed and do a good set up and fly it to the ground.

thanks and safe flying.

Tell you what Ronald, I hope I can do that with such apparent ease !

You make it look so simple................
