Has anyone made their own silicone rings for the nose gear? I made some out of 50A durometer sheet, and installed them today. Mixed result

When I was talking with Michael he essentially said, "if you don't buy the kit, you are on your own".  So, no, I don't know which hardness is called for, but obviously not 50A.  I'm going to try 70A next.
