Gained 3 and 1/2inches of propeller clearance with nose gear spacer to 9 and 1/2 inches. Seems worth the cost and effort.

I have a Whirlwind GA-RW3B 68 INCH DIAMETER.

I HAD TO BUILD THIS 1 1/2 BLOCK LIKE THE VIKING NOSE SPACER BECAUSE OF MINOR DRILLING ASSYMMETRY. BUT IT WORKS FINE. 8HRS OF WORK PLUS FOR AN EXTRA 3 INCHES OF PROP CLEARANCE.

Hi Terry, I have a similar problem, ordered material yesterday to make an 1 1/2" spacer, this should provide just a bit over 9" of clearance for me, originally had 7 1/2". Should work fine until I decide to install bigger tires. What diameter prop do you have?
