The holes are in the top ready to take the Viking Spring straps. Really easy to install as advertised. I went ahead and installed my rivets the hard-way so non of the studs stick out in the nose gear tube channel, just the heads. Both pieces of aluminium were exactly the same thickness, so I made the experimental call on those.
