I have an excellent large bandsaw for thicker items, I'll be limiting this cutter to long cuts up to 0.040. I tested it yesterday on a small piece if scrap and it seemed to do well. I can always fall back to the Olfa if needed :)

I made one myself a few years back. It cuts well for thinner sheets, but for deeper cuts I had problems with getting ripples in the cut. The blade started snagging on those ripples and I could not cut any further. At that point I switched over to shears or my panel hacksaw.
