Built a $50 pre-heater from hardware store parts, 30 mins had the oil temp up in the green arc.

Great idea and one I would have used IF I had electric in the hangar. I built a slick Solar heater that has provided all the heat I need - posted the idea and pictures previously. Now have electric but continue to use the solar because it works so well - who flies on a cloudy day anyway. A search should get you back to my idea and the performance. Just for an update the OAT was 14f the other day with 130F in the box and the oil / engine temp a neat 60F. CK out my heater and pics on my Zenith web site.
