Did about 20 minutes of medium speed taxi testing today. Engine (Jab 2200) ran cool. Got the nose wheel to lift off at 28 mph. VG's on.

My CG was a little forward even for a light jabiru since I didn't install slats, which moved the center of lift to the rear. So I was a little concerned that I might have difficulty getting the nose wheel up, but I've installed VG's on the elevator, and there was no problem. In fact I was a little concerned that it might lift off.   Next step is to try to do a wheely down the runway.  I've done several mods to include no slats, VG's, strut covers, and a beanie mod, so a good flight testing plan is important.

That sounds like your having fun. I've done a slow taxi but haven't brought the front wheel up yet..701 POH? Jab 2200 is whats on my plane also.I might have a contact on these two issues.
