If you get out here, please stop in. We have a couple extra rooms so we can put you up. You might want to leave the floats at home; not much water in southern Saskatchewan and Alberta.. By this time next year a few of us should be flying. Not sure if I will be one, though.

Joe, I put up another photo showing the effect of a short strip of electricians tape on the anterior surface of the left down tube. I wanted to show that the anti glare does not have to cover the entire surface. In my case I did not want it to visually interfer with the goose 's neck.

I will be covering the front surface of the down tube - eventually.

I still plan on getting out west with my plane, and hope to be able to drop in and see your fleet.

Currently, I am in the process of fitting some full lotus floats.

Good luck with your build. ps - 912 has been solid.

Re tape --- I expect that I will need to replace ( 10 minutes) eventually. This was done because I had  trouble with keeping the original rubber attached.

Conrad, thanks for posting these pictures. It confirms my choosing to paint my cage flat black and convering the glareshield with flat black material. I like taking photos out the plane and your photos show quite a lot of glare from the gloss yellow reflected in the windshield. Do you think the tape will stay firmly in place, especially in the hot sun? BTW, awesome paint job!
