Here's a quick video with raw footage of the second engine start of my UL Power 350iS engine. I did film the very first start, but accidentally deleted the footage. The footage in this video is a month or two old but I had it on my computer and thought I'd upload it to YouTube. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9vp_Lt9gFGcSee More

It's nice to have a separate forum for us UL Power users. I will share a link to two videos I made on the installation of my UL Power 350iS engine that might be useful if you want to know what's involved in installing one. (part 3 coming soon)Keep in mind that I'm not providing 'instruction' on how to install it, so the purpose of my videos is to just provide you with an overview of what's involved with installing this engine. Have you sat in the One Week Wonder?

I'm considering ordering seats from Flightline Interiors for my Cruzer. They are the ones that made the seats for the One Week Wonder.Unfortunately I have never sat in the One Week Wonder and although I'm sure the seats are comfortable, the bottom cushion looks very thick and I'm wondering how the headroom would be for a guy (me) who is 6'1" tall?Have any tall guys sat in the One Week Wonder?See More

Let's See Your Seats!

I am in the process of having custom seats made for my Cruzer from Oregon Aero. I'm looking for ideas on the stitch pattern or design. I'd like to see a bunch of 750 seats and get an idea of what I like best.Anyone want to post pics of their seats?Thank you!PS: I really liked the One Week Wonder seats but I've Googled it every way possible and I can't find any pics of them online. I can't believe I forgot to get pics at Oshkosh.See More

UL Power 350iS Video...

It's been mentioned numerous times that there isn't a lot of info out there on the UL Power engines-especially related to the Zenith airplanes.I am installing a 350iS in my Cruzer, and I want to help others by providing as much information as I can to help you make your engine choice. My installation is not 100% complete yet, but I have posted a new video on my progress so far. I talk about the fuel lines, oil system, and some of the electrical wiring-nothing real in depth, but more as a general…See More

Electrical Basic System?

I can't seem to nail this down. Not considering any wiring or anything else-let's look at the basic theory of a electrical system with the UL Power engine. One issue is that the engine needs the ECU and pumps to run. I may even throw in there the EFIS since it has all the engine instruments. But I'm thinking of flying along and I smell electrical smoke. I'd want to turn off the avionics master right? Some might even say turn off the master switch.I'm trying to figure out the very basic…See More

Basic Electrical Diagram

Guys, this is my initial thought as I'm designing the electrical system. I'm trying to keep it as simple as possible but well protected. There's a few other items not shown because they will be connected to circuit breakers. Those are the ECU, Flap Motor, Fuel Pump 1, and Fuel Pump 2.Please let me know if you see anything wrong. I'm not sure which side of the Master Relay the power IN to the key should be connected to. The ignitions run through the key so it seems that I would want that powered…See More

STOL / Cruzer Electrical...

Part of installing the engine, which I'm doing now, is getting parts of the electrical system installed. For those you further ahead than me, I'm just wondering where you installed components. For example, have you found it better to have the switches for lights in the panel, or on the center console? Where did you mount your + and - buses? They need to be somewhere that's easy to get to in the future. It helps in designing my system to see how others have done it. Then I can get ideas, take what…See More

750 / Cruzer Vents?

If you are flying a 750 or Cruzer, did you install the eyeball vents in the panel like the factory Cruzer? The doors have those snap in vents and I'm wondering if that's enough airflow or if you've found that the eyeball vents in the panel are necessary too on a hot day?See More

Zenith's with UL Power?

I have searched and searched and these are the Zenith airplanes I've found that are using the UL Power engine. I'm trying to find at least one person who can say, "I have 200 or 300 or 500 hours on my UL Power engine and I haven't had any issues." Why is no one posting information about their experiences with this engine online? I've only heard negative things (including negative issue…See More
