I finished the forty hours today and I'm looking forward to fly-ins, airshows, and pancake breakfasts around the state. I also hope to visit some builders who are in neighboring states within reach. Rest assured, vigilance and continued tweaking are still on the agenda.

I would be grateful for any objective info on Michael and his service. Since I have had limited opportunity to get to know him, I'm naturally curious to know what others think of his outfit.

I would also be glad to have you visit my hangar (fondly nicknamed "The Hotel California"). Whenever you feel like flying down, call me (cell #337-298-0276) because LeGros has no terminal building and it's out in the boonies. Another set of eyes to catch errors would be welcome.

I don't plan to go there this Saturday. I will try to delay until maybe mid-April so that the experience is as fresh as possible for me. If I hustled, the plane could be ready for first flight in a couple of weeks but the FAA paperwork maze takes patience as I recall from 6 years ago. So, I'm guessing the first flight will be late April. It would have been a good chance to meet though.

Hey Earl,

Since you guys are sort of in the right area, have any of you been over to the Vicksburg Talullah airport and had any dealings with Michael Nassour's flight school? I found out that he has an AMD 601XL which he uses for instruction and rental. I am planning on going up there on a Saturday to get some dual time to check out in the plane, then continue solo until I feel confident to do my own first flight. If all goes well, I will probably be ready to inspect in April then fly as soon afterward as the weather allows.
